Suriya’s Scene Crosses Rs 4.33 Crore in Advance Bookings Ahead of November 6 Diwali Release

Suriya’s Scene has crossed Rs 4.33 crore in India advance bookings ahead of its theatrical release on Friday, November 6, 2026, after advance sales opened on Tuesday night, November 3. According to Sacnilk data reported by Cinema Express on Wednesday morning, the film’s state-wise break-up shows Tamil Nadu contributing Rs 2.04 crore, Kerala Rs 1.55 crore and Karnataka Rs 36.89 lakh, with the rest coming from other markets. All figures are trade estimates.

The Kerala number is the story inside the story. Kerala alone accounts for more than a third of the advance total, and the film will open in more than 550 theatres in the state, making it one of Suriya’s biggest releases there. That strength is no accident: director Jithu Madhavan arrives with the Malayalam hits Romancham and Aavesham behind him, Nazriya Nazim co-stars alongside Suriya for the first time, and Sree Gokulam Movies is distributing the film in Kerala, while Sakthi Film Factory holds Tamil Nadu. Scene is Jithu Madhavan’s Tamil debut, and it brings him back together with composer Sushin Shyam, who also makes his Tamil debut with this score.

The film faces a crowded Diwali window. It releases on November 6 alongside Nayanthara’s Mookuthi Amman 2, directed by Sundar C, while Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana, which opens a day earlier on November 5, will still be dominating premium screens, and Ullas Chemban’s Disco also arrives in Kerala on November 6. Scene stars Suriya as DSP Inbaraj, a cheerful officer who uses his own methods on a case set during the COVID-19 outbreak, with Nazriya Nazim, Naslen, Lal, Anandraj and Raj Priyan in support. It is produced by Jyotika and Suriya under Zhagaram Studios and 2D Entertainment, with Jaishree Damodaran as co-producer, and it runs for 149 minutes after receiving a U/A 16+ certificate. Here is the Filmverse take: Rs 4.33 crore in under a day is a strong start, but the shape of it matters more than the size — a Suriya film drawing its early strength from Kerala, on the back of a Malayalam director’s goodwill, is a reminder that star power now travels across South Indian industries rather than staying inside one. The test from here is whether Tamil Nadu, where the film must do its biggest business, catches up once full booking windows open, and whether the film can hold screens against Ramayana and Mookuthi Amman 2 through the weekend. Advance bookings measure intent, and Scene’s intent is real; the opening weekend will show whether it is wide enough.
