Kartik Aaryan–Sreeleela’s Anurag Basu Film Locks April 30, 2027 Release
Kartik Aaryan and Sreeleela’s untitled romantic musical, directed by Anurag Basu, has locked its theatrical release for April 30, 2027. The announcement gives the long-gestating project a firm date after a production journey that saw it move from an initial December 2025 target into 2026 and now the 2027 summer window.
The film pairs Kartik Aaryan with Sreeleela, who makes her debut as a leading lady in Hindi cinema after establishing herself in Telugu and Kannada films. The production is led by Bhushan Kumar under the T-Series banner, with Pritam composing the music — a reunion of sorts for the Basu–Pritam pairing behind soundtracks like Barfi! and Jagga Jasoos. The project was initially rumoured to be titled Aashiqui 3, with later reports suggesting Tu Meri Zindagi Hai, but no official title has been announced.
The April 30 date hands the film a clean theatrical window: it arrives nearly three weeks after SS Rajamouli’s Varanasi (April 7), with the next major releases — Lag Jaa Gale and the Sourav Ganguly biopic DADA — landing on May 14. Basu has previously pushed back on talk that the shoot is nearly complete, saying earlier this year that only about 45 days of filming had been done.
