Ramayana Advance Booking Crosses Rs 14.84 Crore, Passes Border 2 for Third-Highest Pre-Sales of 2026

Ramayana’s advance booking has crossed another milestone. According to a report published in Sacnilk and carried by Filmibeat on October 28, 2026, Nitesh Tiwari’s epic has raked in Rs 14.84 crore so far in day-1 advance booking in India, with the sale of 2.83 lakh tickets, eight days before its release. All box-office figures in this report are trade estimates.

The total puts Ramayana past Border 2’s pre-sales of Rs 12.5 crore and makes it the third-highest advance booking collection of 2026 so far, behind only Dhurandhar 2 at Rs 53 crore and Drishyam 3 at Rs 31.65 crore. That ranking is measured with more than a week still to go: advance booking opened on October 20, and day-1 numbers have climbed steadily since.

Ramayana: Part 1 releases worldwide on November 5, 2026, with paid previews on November 4. Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, it stars Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama, Sai Pallavi as Sita and Yash as Ravana, alongside Sunny Deol, Ravi Dubey, Rakul Preet Singh and Vivek Oberoi. Produced by Namit Malhotra and Yash, it is said to be a two-film project with a budget of Rs 4,000 crore across both parts, releasing in five languages and IMAX.

The pre-sales momentum follows the film’s world premiere in Los Angeles, where the first reactions praised the film’s scale and Yash’s Ravana in particular — read our report on those first reactions here: https://filmverse.in/ramayana-first-reactions-la-premiere-yash-ravana-ranbir-kapoor/ — and Yash has spoken warmly about his co-star since. “Ranbir Kapoor is one of the most honest, hardworking, and humble actors I have ever met,” Yash said. “As an actor, I have seen him completely surrender himself to the character. It is very difficult for someone to maintain that kind of focus and stillness. For that sheer dedication, God will bless him.”

Here is the Filmverse take: passing Border 2 is the moment Ramayana’s advance booking stops being about hype and starts being about arithmetic. With eight days left, the film does not need to beat Dhurandhar 2’s Rs 53 crore to have a historic opening; it needs to hold its pace, because every extra day of pre-sales adds to a base that already guarantees packed opening shows in the big centres. The real test is the first Monday: a film this expensive cannot live on pre-sales alone, and the mixed notes on music and pacing from Los Angeles mean word of mouth after November 5 will decide whether this is a record opening or a record run.
