Aadarsha Kutumbam House No. 47 Day 3 Box Office: Rs 50.95 Crore Worldwide as Venkatesh’s Film Grows Again on Sunday
Venkatesh and Trivikram Srinivas’ Aadarsha Kutumbam House No. 47 has closed its opening weekend on a high, collecting Rs 11.25 crore net in India on Day 3 (Sunday, November 1), up 8.2 per cent on Saturday’s Rs 10.40 crore net. The Telugu family action comedy drama has now collected Rs 31.40 crore net and Rs 36.85 crore gross in India in three days, with overseas markets adding Rs 2.75 crore on Sunday to take the overseas total to Rs 14.10 crore. The film’s worldwide gross after three days stands at Rs 50.95 crore. All figures are trade estimates.
Sunday was the film’s best day so far, both in collections and in footfalls. An estimated 7,52,523 tickets were sold on Day 3 across 3,273 shows at 52.1 per cent occupancy, taking total footfalls past 21 lakh in the opening weekend. The growth pattern across the weekend tells its own story: after opening at Rs 16.65 crore worldwide on Friday, the film improved on Saturday to Rs 33.95 crore worldwide in two days, and then grew again on Sunday, a trajectory few big releases manage in a crowded festive window.
The film stars Venkatesh alongside Srinidhi Shetty, with Nara Rohith, Nivetha Pethuraj, Yuvina Parthavi and Raja Prajwal in supporting roles. Written and directed by Trivikram Srinivas and produced by S. Radha Krishna under Haarika & Hassine Creations, with music by S. Thaman, it released in theatres on Friday, October 30. Trade reports put its production budget at around Rs 128 crore including promotion costs, so the film still has a long road to break-even despite its healthy opening weekend.
Here is the Filmverse take: a Sunday that beats both Friday and Saturday is exactly what a family entertainer needs, because its core audience books closer to the weekend and turns up in groups. But the real examination starts now. Weekday holds will show whether the film has genuinely connected with family audiences, and Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana arrives on November 5 to claim premium screens everywhere. If Aadarsha Kutumbam holds its occupancy through the weekdays, it will have proved that a rooted family story can still carve out a long run in a year dominated by action spectacles.
