I’m Game Streams on JioHotstar Today: Dulquer Salmaan’s Fantasy Action Thriller Arrives in Five Languages
Dulquer Salmaan’s I’m Game begins streaming on JioHotstar today, Friday, November 6, 2026, two months after its theatrical release on September 3. The Malayalam fantasy action thriller will be available in five languages — Malayalam, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Kannada — giving the film the pan-India reach its cinema run never quite achieved. JioHotstar announced the premiere on November 2 with the message, “The game is about to begin!”
The film follows Dan, a reckless young man whose life takes an unexpected turn after a hand transplant connects him to the lingering consciousness of a deceased cricketer. As he uncovers a mysterious past and confronts a powerful cricket network, Dan embarks on a journey of redemption and transformation. It is an unusual premise for a mainstream Malayalam action film — part body-swap fantasy, part sports conspiracy — and the trailer leans into the strangeness rather than smoothing it over.
I’m Game is directed by Nahas Hidhayath, who made his name with the blockbuster RDX, and produced by Dulquer’s own Wayfarer Films, with music by Jakes Bejoy. The ensemble around Salmaan includes Antony Varghese, Mysskin, Kayadu Lohar, Samyuktha Viswanathan, Kathir and Vinay Forrt, with Parth Tiwari also in a key role. The film was originally planned for an Onam release on August 20 before moving to September 3, and it released theatrically in all five languages.
The theatrical run was softer than the pre-release buzz suggested. The film reportedly grossed around Rs 48 crore worldwide against a reported budget of around Rs 80 crore, which makes the streaming debut its real second chance. A five-language OTT release is a different proposition from a five-language theatrical release: the same dubbed versions that struggled to find screens in September can now find viewers at home, and the film’s fantasy hook is the kind of premise that travels well by word of mouth.
Here is the Filmverse take: I’m Game is a film whose idea is better than its box office, and streaming is the fairest judge it will get. The hand-transplant premise is genuinely original — a cricketer’s consciousness living on in another man’s body — and Nahas Hidhayath has already shown with RDX that he can stage action with real craft. If the film finds its audience on JioHotstar this weekend, it will be because viewers came for the premise and stayed for Dulquer, who remains one of the few Malayalam stars whose films travel across languages without losing their centre.
