November 2026 at the Movies: Ramayana, Scene, Godzilla Minus Zero and 28 More Releases

November 2026 is one of the year’s busiest months for Indian audiences, with 31 releases lined up across theatres and streaming — opening with the year’s biggest Indian film and running through star-led South cinema, Hollywood event titles and OTT premieres.

The headline act is Ramayana: Part 1, releasing in theatres on November 5. Nitesh Tiwari’s epic stars Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram, Yash as Ravana and Sai Pallavi as Sita, and follows Prince Rama’s 14-year exile and the abduction of Sita that sets up the battle between good and evil. November 6 brings a double bill: Suriya’s Scene, directed by Jithu Madhavan, follows a rebellious officer reopening an unresolved case with a chaotic team, while Nayanthara returns in the mythological fantasy Mookuthi Amman 2, plus the animated The Cat in the Hat, voiced by Bill Hader.

Mid-month, Sharwanand’s Bhogi arrives on November 12, followed on November 13 by Johnny Depp’s Ebenezer, a supernatural take on the Scrooge story, and the heist thriller How to Rob a Bank, starring Nicholas Hoult and Zoe Kravitz. November 19 brings Vishwak Sen’s ENE Repeat and the Malayalam ensemble Bachelor Party D’eux, while November 20 packs in Dhanush, Mammootty, Sai Pallavi and Sreeleela in OM Chapter 1: Udhiram, Dulquer Salmaan’s Aakasamlo Oka Tara, Keerthy Suresh’s Sathyavan Savithiri and, tentatively, Godzilla Minus Zero, with Godzilla facing a new three-headed King Ghidorah.

November 27 brings Sooraj Barjatya’s Yeh Prem Mol Liya (Ayushmann Khurrana, Sharvari) and Emraan Hashmi’s Gunmaaster G9, about a dairy farmer doubling as Agent G9, plus Rashmika Mandanna’s Mysaa and the animated Hexed. On streaming, Netflix offers A Dog’s Perfect Christmas (November 4) and Guarding Stars (November 18), while Focker-In-Law arrives November 25.

Here is the Filmverse take: what stands out about November is not just the volume but the balance — the month’s biggest bet is a mythological epic, its most interesting commercial test is a Suriya-led crossover, and its global wild card is a Japanese Godzilla film. That mix tells its own story about where Indian audiences are now: no longer choosing between languages or between theatres and streaming, but stacking a Ramayana opening weekend against a Netflix Christmas film in the same month. The film to watch is Scene — if Suriya’s dark-comedy investigation clicks a day after Ramayana, it will prove that even in the shadow of the year’s biggest release, a well-made regional film can still command its own weekend.
