Adarsha Kutumbam Day 9: Venkatesh Film Jumps 35% on Saturday, Worldwide Total Nears Rs 70 Crore as Ranabaali Holds at Rs 80 Crore

Venkatesh’s Adarsha Kutumbam – House No. 47 is enjoying the second wind every family film hopes for. The film collected Rs 1.55 crore net in India on its ninth day, a second Saturday, marking a 34.8 per cent jump over Friday’s Rs 1.15 crore — the kind of weekend surge that suggests word of mouth is doing its work in the Telugu states.

According to Sacnilk figures reported today, the film’s cumulative India net collection has reached Rs 43.85 crore, with a domestic gross of Rs 51.35 crore and a worldwide gross of Rs 67.85 crore. Overseas markets contributed Rs 25 lakh on Saturday alone, taking the international total to Rs 16.50 crore. The Diwali Sunday looks stronger still: BoxOfficeIndia24’s live tracker has the film at Rs 1.07 crore net by noon on Day 10, with the day projected to close near Rs 2.19 crore net — which would take the India net total past Rs 45 crore and the worldwide gross within touching distance of Rs 70 crore.

The comparison with its release-week rival frames the run. Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna’s Ranabaali has completed 23 days in theatres with a worldwide gross of Rs 80.61 crore, an India net of Rs 59 crore and a domestic gross of Rs 68.26 crore — but it added just Rs 1 lakh on Day 23, a sign its theatrical run is effectively over. Adarsha Kutumbam, nine days younger in its run, is now chasing a target Ranabaali has already set: the Rs 80 crore worldwide mark.

The economics add urgency to the chase. Trade estimates put the film’s pre-release business at around Rs 63 crore, with break-even near Rs 64 crore — a line the film is closing on from the theatrical side alone. That matters because this was never a film built on opening-weekend fireworks: it opened to Rs 9.75 crore, grew on family audiences, and is now relying on the Diwali weekend to finish the job. The Venkatesh–Trivikram reunion, two decades in the making, was always a slow-burn proposition rather than a sprint. A Rs 70 crore worldwide total by the end of this weekend would confirm the strategy worked.
