Beparwah Shoot Wrapped: Ali Abbas Zafar Calls YRF Return ‘Coming Back Home’ as Ahaan Panday-Sharvari Film Heads to Post
Filmmaker Ali Abbas Zafar has wrapped up shooting on Beparwah, his upcoming romantic action-drama starring Ahaan Panday and Sharvari. The director announced the development on social media on October 27, 2026, sharing a behind-the-scenes video featuring pictures from the film’s sets in Punjab.
In his Instagram post, Zafar reflected on the experience of making the film and on returning to Yash Raj Films (YRF), where he previously directed Sultan and Tiger Zinda Hai. “It’s a Film Wrap on BEPARWAH In Punjab, it’s been an incredible emotion Journey, coming back to direct for @yrf feels like coming back home,” he wrote. “Thank you to the entire Cast and Crew of the Film, can’t wait to bring this to Theatres. Rab Rakha.”
Sharvari, who stars alongside Ahaan Panday, reacted to the post with a comment that read, “Sir!” followed by heart and folded-hands emojis — a small exchange that underlines how much this pairing is being watched.
Beparwah brings Ahaan Panday and Sharvari together on screen for the first time. The film marks another project for Panday following the attention he received for Saiyaara, while Sharvari continues to build a filmography across genres. The film’s title was announced by YRF along with a teaser poster, revealing its theatrical release date. Produced by Aditya Chopra and directed by Zafar, the romantic action-drama is scheduled to arrive in cinemas worldwide on March 26, 2027.
The teaser poster, unveiled on October 26, kept both leads’ faces hidden: Ahaan and Sharvari stand with their foreheads touching, looking downward, Ahaan holding a gun in a bloodied hand while Sharvari holds a guitar, under the tagline “Fearless in love.”
Filmverse analysis: The wrap matters more than it looks. Beparwah is the film on which two separate comebacks ride — Zafar’s return to the banner that made him a blockbuster director, and a fresh pairing that YRF clearly wants to position as its next romantic-action bet. Wrapping in Punjab also hints at the film’s texture: this is not a set-bound romance but a story shot on real ground, and the five-month runway to March 2027 gives YRF time to do what it does best — build a campaign around a poster image and a song rather than a trailer dump. For Ahaan, who arrived with enormous Saiyaara goodwill, the real test begins now, in the edit: whether the action half of this romance lands as hard as its poster promises.
With shooting complete, the film now moves into post-production ahead of its March 2027 release.
