Yogi Babu’s 300th Film Arjunan Per Paththu Confirmed for November 27 Release
The makers of the Yogi Babu-starrer Arjunan Per Paththu have announced that the film will release on November 27, 2026. The upcoming film is the actor’s 300th film, and it was earlier scheduled to release on July 17.
Arjunan Per Paththu is written and directed by Ra Rajmohan, in his debut. Rajmohan previously worked as an associate of Lenin Bharathi, who is known for directing Merku Thodarchi Malai. Lenin Bharathi is also part of the cast, which includes debutant Anamika Mahi, Kaali Venkat, Aruldoss, Ayali Madhan, Subramaniam Siva, Mynaa Nandhini, Soundarya, Sendrayan, Hello Kandasamy, Bala Lakshmanan, and Ranjan Kumar.
The film revolves around Yogi Babu’s character, whose hard-earned vehicle is stolen. New revelations come to light during the investigation of the theft, when multiple people lay claim to the vehicle. The teaser, released earlier this year, showed the same chain of events: a man who buys a small truck with his savings and a loan, loses it to thieves, and then discovers that the scam runs far deeper than a single theft, touching on the frauds that plague the used-vehicle trade.
With D Imman composing the music, the crew also includes cinematographer Pradeep Kaliraja, editor Kasi Viswanathan, production designer B Sekar, and action choreographer Om Prakash. Kiruthiga Thangapandi S and Thangapandi D are backing the film under the Dev Cinemas banner.
Yogi Babu was recently seen in Rajinikanth’s Jailer 2, and he has a packed slate ahead, including Ravi Mohan’s An Ordinary Man, the Saiju Kurup-starrer Harivarasanam, the Telugu-Tamil bilingual Golden Bhagyam, Singgaramm, Kaagangal, Lollipop Sports Academy, and an untitled film alongside Jai and Priyanka Mohan.
Filmverse analysis: Three hundred films is a number few actors reach, and fewer still reach while remaining this busy. What makes Arjunan Per Paththu interesting is that it does not treat the milestone as a victory lap — it puts Yogi Babu at the centre of a grounded, everyday grievance that Tamil audiences recognise instantly: a working man cheated out of the one asset he owns. That is a smart use of his screen persona. Audiences trust Yogi Babu to make an ordinary man’s anger funny and then, suddenly, serious, and a story about used-vehicle fraud gives that anger a real target. If the film keeps its focus on the scam rather than drifting into star-celebration mode, the 300th-film tag will feel earned rather than merely counted.
Arjunan Per Paththu arrives in theatres on November 27, a week after Dhanush’s Om and Keerthy Suresh’s Sathyavan Savithiri, according to earlier scheduling reports.
