Ramayana: Part One Locks November 5 India Release, Paid Previews on November 4
Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana: Part One finally appears to have a locked release plan. According to a Pinkvilla report carried across trade outlets, the epic will open in India on Thursday, November 5, with paid previews a day earlier on November 4.
The shift is notable: producer Namit Malhotra had earlier indicated a Diwali-day India release around November 8, with November 6 for international markets. The reported new plan instead lines India up with the overseas rollout — Australia, New Zealand, Southeast Asia, the Middle East and much of Europe open November 5, with the UK, South Africa and Mauritius on November 6.
Ranbir Kapoor plays Lord Rama, Sai Pallavi plays Sita, and Yash plays Ravana, with Sunny Deol as Hanuman and Ravie Dubey as Lakshmana. Shot for IMAX with music by Hans Zimmer and A. R. Rahman, the two-part saga is mounted by Prime Focus Studios with DNEG and Monster Mind Creations, with Sony Pictures handling global distribution.
The makers are yet to officially confirm the revised dates, so treat them as tentative for now.
