King Title Teaser Out — Shah Rukh Khan’s Menacing New Avatar Targets December 24, 2026
Shah Rukh Khan celebrated his 60th birthday the only way he knows how — by breaking the internet. The title teaser of King, his next big action spectacle, dropped on November 2 and crossed 90 million views across platforms in its first 24 hours.
The 71-second teaser introduces a Shah Rukh nobody has seen before: silver hair, bloodied and brooding, flipping a King of Hearts card at the camera before declaring, “Darr nahi, dahashat hoon” (“I am not fear, I am terror”). In another chilling moment he says, “Kitne khoon kiye, yaad nahi. Achhe log the ya bure, kabhi pucha nahi.”
The cast
King is a full-blown ensemble: Shah Rukh Khan in the titular role, Suhana Khan in her theatrical film debut, Deepika Padukone, Abhishek Bachchan, Arshad Warsi, Anil Kapoor, Jackie Shroff, Jaideep Ahlawat, Rani Mukerji, Raghav Juyal, Abhay Verma and Saurabh Shukla.
The story
Plot details are tightly guarded, but the film is reported to be loosely inspired by the French action classic Léon: The Professional (1994) — the story of a ruthless hitman who takes a young girl under his wing. Director Siddharth Anand has called it his “biggest mass action film yet.”
