Emraan Hashmi Narrowly Escapes Injury After Car Flip Stunt Goes Wrong on Gunmaaster G9 Set
Emraan Hashmi had a close call while shooting the climax sequence of his upcoming spy thriller Gunmaaster G9 in Bengaluru on October 13. The incident took place during a car flip stunt when a vehicle involved in the sequence reportedly came loose from its mechanism and fell close to the actor.
The car had been rigged to remain suspended in mid-air for the stunt. However, the mechanism reportedly gave way unexpectedly, causing the vehicle to crash down just a foot away from Hashmi’s face. A behind-the-scenes video from the set shows an SUV suspended from a crane flipping mid-air before coming down heavily onto a van parked below, landing dangerously close to the actor.
The sudden malfunction caught the crew off guard and briefly disrupted the shoot. Fortunately, Hashmi escaped the incident without sustaining any injuries, and filming resumed later that day. The makers have yet to clarify whether the incident was part of the planned stunt or an unexpected mishap.
Gunmaaster G9, directed by Aditya Datt and co-starring Genelia D’Souza, Aparshakti Khurana and Abhishek Singh, arrives in cinemas on November 27, 2026.
