Drishyam 3 Crosses Rs 357 Crore in 20 Days, Now Hunting Down Border 2 for 2026’s No. 2 Bollywood Spot

Ajay Devgn’s Drishyam 3: The Conclusion refuses to slow down. The crime thriller collected an estimated Rs 6.25 crore net on day 19 — a 78.6% jump powered by the Dussehra holiday — and around Rs 2.5 crore on day 20, taking its India net total to roughly Rs 357 crore, according to trade estimates tracked by Sacnilk.

The film has now crossed 1.5 crore footfalls in India — a landmark for the thriller genre — with an India gross of about Rs 428 crore, overseas earnings near Rs 128.5 crore and a worldwide gross north of Rs 555 crore. It is already the highest-grossing film of Ajay Devgn’s career and Bollywood’s third-biggest grosser of 2026, behind Dhurandhar 2 (Rs 1,186.32 crore) and Border 2 (Rs 362.76 crore).

And that second spot is now firmly in sight. With barely Rs 5 crore separating Drishyam 3 from Border 2, trade watchers expect the gap to close by the fourth weekend — a remarkable late run for a dialogue-driven thriller competing against spectacles like Jailer 2 and a fresh slate of releases. The Rs 400 crore net milestone looks out of reach, with most trackers pegging the lifetime total near Rs 375 crore.

What makes this run special isn’t just the number — it’s the shape of it. A third-week Dussehra spike of nearly 80% is the kind of surge usually reserved for star-driven openers, not a 20-day-old thriller. It confirms what the franchise has always banked on: an audience that trusts Vijay Salgaonkar enough to return to theatres even when cheaper entertainment waits on their phones. The footfall figure is the more telling stat — about 1.5 crore tickets sold at ticket prices well below the Dhurandhar 2 tier — which means Drishyam 3 earned its total the hard way, one convinced viewer at a time. The catch: Ramayana arrives on November 5, and when it does, every screen in the country will bend toward it. The Border 2 chase has roughly a two-week window — and that deadline is exactly what makes it worth watching.

Directed by Abhishek Pathak and starring Ajay Devgn, Tabu, Jaideep Ahlawat, Prakash Raj and Shriya Saran, Drishyam 3: The Conclusion is the final chapter of the Hindi franchise — the director has confirmed there will be no part 4.
