Dharma Productions Tags Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi, Hans Zimmer and A.R. Rahman in One Epic X Post — Fans Smell a Mythological Mega-Project

Dharma Productions fired a thunderbolt on X on Monday, October 19 — and it contained no poster, no teaser and no announcement. Just names. Over thirty of them.

In a single reply post from its official @DharmaMovies account, the banner tagged Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi, director Nitesh Tiwari, composers Hans Zimmer and A.R. Rahman, Sunny Deol, Arun Govil, Kannada superstar Yash, poet-scholar Kumar Vishwas, visual-effects studio DNEG, large-format partner IMAX, post-production giant Prime Focus India, music label T-Series and international distributor Sony Pictures, among many others, according to a report by Nation Press.

Read that list again. Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi as the divine couple. Nitesh Tiwari directing. Hans Zimmer and A.R. Rahman scoring together — a pairing that has never happened on one Indian film before. Yash as the antagonist. Sunny Deol in a pivotal warrior role. Arun Govil, whose face is synonymous with Lord Rama for a generation of television viewers, in the mix. If this sounds familiar, it is because this is almost exactly the ensemble of Ramayana: Part 1, Ranbir Kapoor’s mythological epic directed by Nitesh Tiwari that releases worldwide on November 5.

Dharma has made no formal announcement, and the studio’s connection to the Ramayana production has not been publicly confirmed — the film is mounted by Namit Malhotra’s Prime Focus Studios with Yash’s Monster Mind Creations. But the deliberate, single-post roll-call of the entire creative and technical leadership — right down to the VFX and exhibition partners — is the kind of move studios make when something very large is formally in motion, not when they are idly tagging friends.

The most arresting detail remains the two-composer credit. Hans Zimmer, the German-American composer behind Interstellar, Inception and Dune, appearing on the same project as A.R. Rahman would be genuinely unprecedented — not borrowing Western credibility, but building a cross-continental creative team from scratch, as observers have noted.

For now, this is speculation built on one extraordinary post. But in an industry where the biggest announcements now arrive as cryptic social-media moves, Dharma’s thirty-name roll call has done its job: everyone is watching for what comes next.
