Ajay Devgn Begins Shooting Chauhaan in Kargil, Returns to Ladakh 23 Years After LOC: Kargil

Ajay Devgn has begun shooting for Chauhaan in Kargil, returning to Ladakh 23 years after filming LOC: Kargil in the region. The actor arrived in the town a few days ago and has commenced the first schedule of the upcoming action film, with the region’s rugged terrain and chilly weather expected to lend authenticity to its setting.

Directed by Neeraj Yadav and backed by Jio Studios and Aanand L Rai’s Colour Yellow Productions, Chauhaan marks Devgn’s first collaboration with Rai. The story is set against the backdrop of unrest in Jammu and Kashmir, exploring the challenges faced by security personnel in the valley.

The film’s title announcement teaser, unveiled on June 25 — the birth anniversary of Devgn’s father, veteran action director Veeru Devgan — presented the actor in a rugged avatar and ended with the dialogue, “Pathaanon se kehna, Chauhaan aa raha hai.”

According to the production team, the necessary permissions were secured in advance, and elaborate arrangements have been made for a smooth shoot. Chauhaan is scheduled to arrive in cinemas on October 1, 2027.
