Ramayana: Sai Pallavi as Sita Takes Centre Stage in New Character Promo Ahead of November 5 Release

The makers of Ramayana have unveiled a new character promo putting Sai Pallavi’s Sita at the centre of the campaign, just days before the film’s worldwide release on November 5, 2026. Shared on Monday, November 2, the promo introduces her with the line, “Daughter of the Earth, princess of Mithila. Bound by love, guided by Dharma. Sai Pallavi as Sita.” The video moves between visuals of Sita in the royal setting of Mithila and moments that establish her connection with the Earth and with Lord Rama, giving audiences their clearest look yet at how the film frames its heroine.

The promo arrives as the final character beat in a campaign that has so far leaned heavily on spectacle. Ramayana: Part One is directed by Nitesh Tiwari and produced by Namit Malhotra’s Prime Focus Studios with Monster Mind Creations, and it stars Ranbir Kapoor as Rama, Sai Pallavi as Sita and Yash as Ravana, with Ravie Dubey as Lakshman and Sunny Deol as Hanuman. Dubey’s Lakshman reveal also landed on November 2, as the makers work through the principal cast in the last days before release. The first instalment is a two-part cinematic adaptation of the epic, with Part Two slated for Diwali 2027.

The timing is no accident. Advance bookings for Ramayana had already crossed Rs 75 crore worldwide by the morning of November 2, with Rs 45.96 crore in India advance bookings including blocked seats, and the film is heading into its release week with one of the biggest pre-sales runs in recent Indian cinema. Character promos in these final days are less about creating awareness, which the film already has, and more about converting interest into opening-weekend tickets by giving each section of the audience a face to follow into the theatre.

Here is the Filmverse take: giving Sita her own promo matters because the campaign’s biggest images so far have been Rama and Ravana, and a three-hour-plus epic needs its emotional centre to be as vivid as its battles. Sai Pallavi, known for her performances across Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam cinema, brings a pan-India familiarity that few Hindi-film heroines could match for this role, and the promo’s emphasis on Sita’s bond with the Earth, rather than only her bond with Rama, suggests the film wants her to stand as a character in her own right. With two days to go, this is the campaign’s last quiet beat before reviews and word of mouth take over.
