Chiranjeevi Makes His Netflix Debut With Megaverse, a Talk Show Celebrating Telugu Cinema

Megastar Chiranjeevi is officially making his Netflix debut. The streaming giant has announced Chiranjeevi’s Megaverse, a conversation series hosted by the Telugu legend, with filming already underway. For the first time in a career spanning more than four decades and over 150 films, Chiranjeevi will be on the other side of the table — hosting rather than headlining a story — in a format built around candid exchanges, anecdotes and revelations from the people who shaped Telugu cinema.

The series is described as an intimate look at the journeys and legacies of cinema’s legends, with Chiranjeevi as its emotional anchor. Netflix and the production team have not named a full guest list or a premiere date, but reports indicate the first episode being shot features three generations of Telugu comedy — Brahmanandam, Sunil and Satya — a line-up that promises both nostalgia and laughs. The show is produced by Gold Box Entertainments, the banner of Chiranjeevi’s daughter Sushmita Konidela, along with Atom Media Ventures and Sol Production LLP. Konidela also co-produced his January 2026 release Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu.

Chiranjeevi is no stranger to hosting — he earlier fronted Meelo Evaru Koteeswarudu, the Telugu Kaun Banega Crorepati, on television — but Megaverse takes him to a global streaming audience for the first time. The move follows a trail laid by other Telugu names: Nandamuri Balakrishna’s Unstoppable on Aha popularised the celebrity chat format in the language, and Rana Daggubati has fronted a show of his own. He remains busy on films too, with Vishwambhara and Kaaka lined up for 2027.

Here is the Filmverse take: Megaverse is a smarter bet for Netflix India than another star vehicle, because it buys something no script can manufacture — Chiranjeevi’s address book and the affection it carries. A talk show hosted by the Megastar competes less with other talk shows than with the audience’s own memories, and the Brahmanandam-Sunil-Satya opener shows the producers understand that. The risk is the opposite one: reverence swallowing conversation, with guests praising the host instead of revealing anything. If Chiranjeevi the interviewer is as curious as Chiranjeevi the performer, Megaverse could become Telugu cinema’s living archive — the show where the industry tells its own history in its own words.
