Jason Sanjay’s Sigma Sets Netflix Premiere Date: Sundeep Kishan Action-Thriller Streams October 30
Following its theatrical run, the action-thriller Sigma, directed by Jason Sanjay and starring Sundeep Kishan, is heading to Netflix. The film will be available for streaming in multiple languages starting October 30, 2026, Zoom TV reported on October 27.
Sigma serves as the directorial debut of Jason Sanjay, the son of actor Vijay. The film released in theatres on October 2, 2026, and is produced by Lyca Productions. Audiences will be able to access it in Tamil, as well as Hindi, Malayalam, Telugu, and Kannada.
The narrative centres on Guru, a Chennai-based radio jockey who moonlights as a treasure hunter. After a business deal goes awry, Guru finds himself in a precarious position, with his family and a close friend facing threats from a powerful businessman named Perumal. To resolve his debts and protect his loved ones, Guru orchestrates a high-stakes heist targeting a secure vault located beneath a high-profile casino.
To execute the mission, the protagonist assembles a specialised team, including a con artist named Maya, a veteran safecracker known as Master, and a technology expert referred to as Dr. Hacker. The film follows the team as they navigate security systems and evade Perumal’s network, eventually leading to a confrontation that exposes the antagonist’s operations.
The ensemble cast supporting Sundeep Kishan includes Faria Abdullah, Raju Sundaram, Sampath Raj, Shiv Panditt, Anbu Thasan, Yog Japee, and Sheela Rajkumar. Catherine Tresa appears in a special dance sequence. The technical team includes composer Thaman S, cinematographer Krishnan Vasant, and editor Praveen KL.
Filmverse analysis: Sigma’s quick move to streaming is the more interesting story here. A theatrical run of less than a month, followed by a five-language Netflix premiere, is now the standard second life for a mid-sized Tamil action film — but for a debut director, that second life is also the real audition. Theatrical numbers judge a film’s opening weekend; streaming judges whether people finish it, recommend it and rewatch its set pieces. Jason Sanjay’s heist premise — a radio jockey, a casino vault and a crew of specialists — is built for exactly that kind of living-room discovery, where a viewer who skipped it in cinemas can stumble on it on a Friday night. If Sigma finds that audience on October 30, its director’s next film will be announced on the strength of streams, not just screens.
Sigma streams on Netflix from October 30, 2026.
