Party Animals Trailer Out: Viraj Ghelani and Arjun Tanwar’s New Year’s Eve Reunion Spirals Into Glorious Chaos — In Cinemas Nov 20

Yoodlee Films has dropped the trailer of its upcoming comedy Party Animals, and it is exactly the kind of unhinged that the internet was built for. Released on Wednesday, October 21, the trailer follows a seemingly harmless New Year’s Eve reunion between friends that spirals spectacularly out of control — cops, goons, a party bus, romantic complications, petty fights and, most memorably, a drunk horse.

The film stars Viraj Ghelani as Mann Patel and Arjun Tanwar as Armaan Khanna, alongside an ensemble that includes Pragati Nagpal, Naqiyah Haji, Alam Khan, Saqib Ayub, Kamlesh Sawant, Anil Charanjeett, Aaron Koul, Vijay Patkar and Manoj Joshi. It is directed by Ravi Chhabriya, written by Ali Haji, Khush Mullick and Veer Panchal, and produced by Vikram Mehra and Siddharth Anand Kumar under the Yoodlee Films banner.

The trailer has already sparked a wave of online chatter. One viewer quipped, “This looks like the group chat got a production budget,” while another wrote, “I don’t know what I just watched, but I need the full story immediately.” Co-star Naqiyah Haji has described the film as a desi version of The Hangover meets 21 Jump Street — an ambitious pitch for a genre Hindi cinema has rarely nailed. Ghelani himself calls it “the kind of madness that’s hard to explain but a whole lot of fun to experience, especially with your gang of friends,” adding that it celebrates “that crazy energy, unbreakable bhaichara, and collective bad decisions that make for the best stories.”

Here is the Filmverse take: the one-night ensemble chaos comedy is a format Hollywood perfected and Bollywood has mostly fumbled in translation — too sanitised, too star-driven, too afraid of its own absurdity. Party Animals looks like the first serious attempt to do it the internet-native way, with a YouTube-bred lead in Ghelani and humour that leans into meme culture rather than apologising for it. Yoodlee Films, Saregama’s studio arm, has quietly built its identity on mid-size, content-first bets, and this one is shrewdly cast for the exact audience that made the trailer trend organically. The November 20 release date is the real test, though — the film shares the day with Sunny Deol’s Suryaa: Ant Se Aarambh Tak and Esha Deol’s Pratap, as Filmverse reported, which means a full-blown comedy will be counter-programming two intense dramas. If the trailer’s chaos converts, that contrast could be Party Animals’ biggest opening-weekend weapon.

Party Animals releases in cinemas on November 20, 2026.
