Jailer 2 Advance Booking Crosses ₹39 Crore, Eyes Record Opening on October 15
Rajinikanth’s Jailer 2 is racing toward a record-shattering opening. With just hours left before its October 15 release, the Nelson Dilipkumar-directed sequel has amassed over ₹39 crore in advance bookings, with more than 20 lakh tickets sold across the country, according to trade tracking estimates.
Per Sacnilk’s data, pre-release reservations for the first three days alone stand at ₹41.05 crore gross (₹35.77 crore excluding blocked seats), with the opening day accounting for the lion’s share. Independent trackers report ₹29.96 crore in India-tracked advance gross for October 15 shows alone, across 13,605 shows in 2,295 theatres.
The frenzy is strongest in Rajinikanth’s home turf — Tamil Nadu leads domestic pre-sales, with Chennai alone contributing over ₹3 crore. Overseas markets have added another ₹20 crore-plus, underlining the film’s global pull.
All figures are trade estimates and will shift as the final booking rush plays out. If momentum holds, Jailer 2 could challenge the opening-day benchmarks set by the superstar’s own Coolie.
