Tiger Shroff Escapes Unhurt After Firing at His Car in Juhu; Driver Injured, Mumbai Police Launch Massive Manhunt

Bollywood actor Tiger Shroff escaped unhurt after unidentified gunmen opened fire at his car in Mumbai’s Juhu area on Sunday evening, October 18. His driver and an autorickshaw driver were injured in the shooting.

The firing took place near Pushpa Park, which falls under Juhu police station limits. According to police, the 36-year-old actor was leaving a football ground when motorcycle-borne assailants fired several rounds — reports citing eyewitnesses put the number between three and four — at his vehicle before fleeing. The chain of events leading to the attack is still being pieced together.

“Shroff is safe and has not sustained any injuries in the firing incident,” a police official said. Deputy Commissioner of Police Mohit Garg confirmed the actor suffered no gunshot injuries. His driver, identified as Firdaus, and an autorickshaw driver identified only as Chauhan were injured and rushed to hospital for emergency treatment. A viral video circulating online appeared to capture at least four gunshots being fired at the actor’s car.

The Mumbai Police have launched a massive manhunt, constituting 12 to 15 special teams including the Crime Branch. Investigators are examining CCTV footage and attempting to reconstruct the exact sequence of events, and a case has been registered at the Juhu police station.

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, who also holds the Home portfolio, spoke to the Mumbai Police Commissioner and directed that the investigation be expedited. State minister Ashish Shelar confirmed the actor is safe, while Joint Commissioner of Police (Law and Order) Manoj Sharma reached the spot to supervise the probe. The actor’s father, Jackie Shroff, confirmed his son is unharmed and was assisting officials at the police station.

Shortly after the incident, a social media post by a man identifying himself as Anil Pandit, claiming to represent the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, surfaced online taking responsibility for the firing — alleging Shroff had been targeted for “not heeding directions” and for working with Salman Khan. Police have, however, not verified the authenticity of the post, and the motive behind the firing remains officially unclear.

The attack follows a disturbing pattern: in February 2026, five rounds were fired outside filmmaker Rohit Shetty’s Juhu residence with the Bishnoi gang claiming responsibility, and in April 2024, two men on a motorcycle opened fire outside Salman Khan’s Galaxy Apartments home in Bandra.

Tiger Shroff, one of Bollywood’s leading action stars, was last seen on screen in Baaghi 4. He debuted with Heropanti in 2014 and co-founded Matrix Fight Night, India’s largest mixed martial arts promotion.
