Ranabaali Box Office: Vijay Deverakonda-Rashmika’s Period Drama Nears Rs 44 Crore Worldwide in 4 Days

Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna’s period action drama Ranabaali has completed its extended opening weekend with a respectable showing. The Telugu film collected Rs 43.85 crore worldwide in its first four days, with Rs 29.45 crore coming from the India net, according to Filmibeat’s trade tracking. Cumulative footfalls for the first four days reached 22,89,057.

Directed by Rahul Sankrityan and produced by Naveen Yerneni and Y. Ravi Shankar under the Mythri Movie Makers banner (presented by Gulshan Kumar, Bhushan Kumar and T-Series Films), Ranabaali released worldwide on October 16. The period drama, set against the backdrop of the Great Madras Famine of 1876, follows an indigenous rebel who rises against British imperial power during a period of severe hardship. Vijay Deverakonda headlines the cast alongside Rashmika Mandanna, with international actor Arnold Vosloo as the antagonist. Music is by Ajay-Atul, cinematography by Jishnu Bhattacharjee and Nirav Shah, and editing by Karthika Srinivas R.

The film carries extra interest as the third on-screen collaboration between Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna after Geetha Govindam and Dear Comrade — and their first movie release together since the couple married in February. It is also the actor’s third film with Mythri Movie Makers after Dear Comrade and Khushi, and his reunion with director Rahul Sankrityan after their earlier hit Taxiwaala.

After a decent opening weekend, the film experienced a noticeable drop on its first Monday — the classic weekday test that trade watchers are tracking. Day 5 live tracking from BoxOfficeIndia24 showed the film collecting around Rs 3.36 crore nett on Tuesday, taking its running India net total past Rs 30.87 crore. Today’s Dussehra holiday is expected to give it an extra lift, and the day-end figures will clarify whether the period drama can maintain its current worldwide trajectory toward the Rs 50-crore mark.

Note: All box-office figures are trade estimates and may be revised as official data comes in.
