Nani’s The Paradise Streams on Netflix from October 22: Cast, Languages, Runtime and This Week’s Other OTT Drops
Nani’s action drama The Paradise is headed to streaming. Netflix India officially announced on October 18 that the film will premiere on Netflix on October 22, 2026 — exactly four weeks after its September 24 theatrical release. The film will be available in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam, meaning the Kannada and Malayalam versions will be new to streaming audiences. One notable detail: the OTT version will be a good 23-24 minutes shorter than what played in theatres.
Set in 1980s Secunderabad, The Paradise follows Jadal, a young man who fights for the identity and dignity of his marginalised Savaari community. Inspired by his mother Sammakka’s courage, he challenges the powerful Malik family, sparking a fierce struggle filled with conflict and sacrifice. Nani plays Jadal, with Kayadu Lohar as the female lead Subbalakshmi, Sonali Kulkarni as Sammakka, Mohan Babu as the feudal landlord Shikanja Malik, and Raghav Juyal, Sampoornesh Babu and Easwari Rao in the ensemble. The film reunites Nani with director Srikanth Odela after their earlier collaboration on Dasara, with music by Anirudh Ravichander and production by Sudhakar Cherukuri under SLV Cinemas.
Theatrically, The Paradise became the biggest grosser of Nani’s career, crossing Rs 173 crore gross worldwide. Reviews were divided: Nani’s physical transformation and performance and Anirudh’s score drew consistent praise, while the screenplay, pacing and violence received mixed responses. In a striking pre-release call, Nani confirmed the film would release without a trailer — the team chose to spend its time on the film instead of a trailer cut, making it one of the rare big films to skip a theatrical trailer entirely.
The Paradise leads a packed Dussehra-week OTT slate. Also arriving this week: Manoj Bajpayee’s Hindi series Gajab Raat on Netflix (October 23), the eight-episode Hindi crime drama Chaar Yaar on Amazon Prime Video (October 23), Sumo Didi — Jayant Rohatgi’s film based on India’s first professional female sumo wrestler Hetal Dave — on ZEE5 (October 23), The Legend of Hanuman Season 7 on JioHotstar (October 23), the Tamil film Dorothy on Netflix (October 23), Koffee With Karan Season 9 Episode 2 on JioHotstar (October 21), the Telugu psychological thriller Naa Wife Missing on Aha (October 22) and the Telugu series Varam on JioHotstar (October 22).
