Sunny Deol marked his 69th birthday on Monday with a gift for his fans — the official teaser of his upcoming crime thriller Suryaa: Ant Se Aarambh Tak, which will arrive in cinemas on November 20, 2026.
The 1-minute-17-second teaser opens with an angry Deol in voiceover mode, declaring that he regards a doctor as a representative of God — but says his trust has been betrayed, as a section of doctors extract money by preying on the weakness of patients’ families. The teaser then shifts gears into investigative-thriller territory, with Deol and Ravi Kishan digging into a case that opens the door to a disturbing chain of events connected to the medical system. The teaser declares the film is “inspired by unbelievable true events” before pointing at the “shocking truth of our medical system.”
Sharing the teaser, Sunny Deol wrote, “THEY THOUGHT IT WAS HIS END. FOR SURYAA, IT WAS ONLY THE BEGINNING. Aap sab ke naam aaj #SURYAATeaser. Dekhiye. Sochiye. Satark Rahiye aur Aggar kuch galat ho toh ladiye! Kamal Mukut’s #SURYAA.”
Director M Padmakumar told ANI that the teaser “begins with a personal loss and opens into a disturbing reality within the medical system.” He added, “For SURYAA, we wanted to show Sunny sir in a space that audiences have not experienced him in before. His character is carrying enormous pain from his past, but it is that very pain that pushes him towards the truth. Sunny sir has brought tremendous restraint, vulnerability and intensity to the character.”
Suryaa: Ant Se Aarambh Tak is reportedly a Hindi adaptation of the 2018 Malayalam crime thriller Joseph, with Deol playing a retired police officer drawn into an investigation that leads him toward secrets connected to his past.
