Tiger Shroff Firing Case: CM Fadnavis Says Accused Identified, Arrests Soon; Disha Patani Rushes to Actor’s Home
The investigation into the firing at actor Tiger Shroff’s car in Mumbai’s Juhu area picked up pace on Monday, with Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis declaring that the accused have been identified and will be arrested very soon.
“This is a very serious and condemnable matter. The Mumbai Police have taken it with the utmost seriousness. They have obtained certain clues, based on which they are currently working, and specific individuals have already been identified. These people will be arrested very soon,” Fadnavis said in Nagpur, according to ANI. He added that the handlers “who remain in hiding and issue orders from afar” will also be tracked down. The Chief Minister said none of the perpetrators operate from within Maharashtra — those who did are already arrested — and that the accused are believed to be operating from outside the state or abroad.
The Mumbai Police have registered a case at the Juhu police station against three unidentified accused under Sections 109(1) (attempt to murder) and 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, along with Sections 3 and 25 of the Arms Act. Fifteen investigation teams, including the Crime Branch, are examining CCTV footage and tracing the assailants’ movements.
Meanwhile, the first images of the suspects have surfaced. Filmfare published CCTV stills showing two men near the actor’s Juhu residence — one wearing a Puma cap — and reports say the assailants abandoned their motorcycles near Andheri station before fleeing. Police have seized the bikes and are examining them for leads.
Shroff himself escaped direct bullet injuries, though shattered glass left him with cuts on his chest and arm. His driver, identified as Firdaus, sustained a gunshot wound to his left arm, while an autorickshaw driver, Chauhan, was also injured. Both were taken to Nanavati Hospital in Vile Parle and reported stable. A video circulating online shows the actor taking the driver’s seat to rush his injured driver to hospital.
Late on Sunday night, Disha Patani — the actor’s former partner — was spotted arriving at his residence amid tight security. Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde also visited the actor’s home, condemned the attack, and assured the family of the state government’s support.
A viral social media post claimed the Lawrence Bishnoi gang was behind the attack, but police have not verified the claim. The incident has also sparked a political row, with Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Sanjay Raut alleging a collapse of law and order and demanding President’s rule in Maharashtra.
