No one wants to stand in front of Shah Rukh Khan this Christmas. According to a new report, the makers of Shakti Shalini — the Aneet Padda-starrer from Maddock’s horror-comedy universe — are rethinking their release plans to avoid a direct clash with SRK’s King, which arrives on December 24, 2026. The report suggests the team is now eyeing a March release instead, giving the Aditya Sarpotdar directorial a clearer window.

It’s a sensible call: King, starring Shah Rukh Khan alongside Suhana Khan and Abhishek Bachchan, is already one of the most anticipated films of the year, and its title teaser set social media ablaze. Shakti Shalini, which reportedly sees Padda in a dual role, is part of producer Dinesh Vijan’s expanding horror-comedy universe — the same banner that just confirmed Stree 3 for 2028. A March berth would let it breathe on its own rather than be swallowed by the King wave.
