Jailer 2: Makers Confirm October 15 Hindi Release, Say ‘There Has Been No Change’

Rajinikanth’s Jailer 2 will hit theatres in Hindi on October 15 as scheduled, the makers have confirmed, putting to rest speculation about a possible delay. “There has been no change,” the production team stated, clarifying the release plan for the much-awaited sequel.

Directed by Nelson Dilipkumar and produced by Sun Pictures, Jailer 2 sees Rajinikanth return as the formidable retired jailer Muthuvel Pandian. The official trailer arrived on October 5, and the film received a U/A 16+ certificate with its runtime revealed earlier this month ahead of the October 15 release.

The sequel follows the events of Nelson’s 2023 blockbuster Jailer, with the criminal network closing in on Muthuvel this time. The ensemble includes S. J. Suryah, Vidya Balan — marking her Tamil cinema debut — Mithun Chakraborty and Suraj Venjaramoodu, alongside returning cast members Ramya Krishnan, Yogi Babu and others. Anirudh Ravichander has composed the music and background score.
