Bokshi Release Postponed to December 4 After CBFC Review Over Witchcraft and Gruesome Violence

Prasanna Bisht’s horror film Bokshi will not arrive this week as planned. The film’s release has been postponed to December 4, 2026, following a CBFC review that flagged its witchcraft themes and gruesome violence.

Directed by Bhargav Saikia, Bokshi — taglined “A witch is born twice” — was previously slated for an October 9 release. The makers will now use the extra weeks to address the censor board’s concerns.

The postponement pushes the film into a crowded December corridor that already includes Eetha (December 4) and the Christmas-week King.
