Prahaar Trailer Out — Rajkummar Rao as Ujjwal Nikam in the 26/11 Courtroom Drama
“Naa bandook, naa goli, sirf saboot aur sachhai” — no gun, no bullet, only evidence and truth. That’s the Prahaar of Ujjwal Nikam, and the trailer of the much-awaited courtroom drama is finally out.
Rajkummar Rao steps into the shoes of special public prosecutor Ujjwal Nikam, chronicling his legal battle in the trial that followed the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks — including the prosecution of Ajmal Kasab, the lone surviving attacker captured that night.
The cast
Rajkummar Rao as Ujjwal Nikam, Wamiqa Gabbi as Jyoti Nikam, Jaideep Ahlawat and Sikandar Kher in key roles, Ashish Vidyarthi, Lalit Prabhakar as Ajmal Kasab, and Ritvik Sahore.
The story
Instead of replaying the violence of that night, Prahaar takes the courtroom route — testimony, evidence and the pursuit of justice for the victims, as Nikam faces pressure inside and outside the courtroom to keep the case from falling apart. One trailer highlight: Kasab in the witness box claiming he was “merely a tourist” in Mumbai that night.
Director, producer, release date
Directed by Avinash Arun (Paatal Lok), produced by Dinesh Vijan under Maddock Films, with music by Vishal Mishra and Emiway Bantai. The film releases in cinemas worldwide on October 16, 2026.
