Anil Sharma’s directorial epic, Gadar 2: The Katha Continues, featuring Sunny Deol, Ameesha Patel, Utkarsh Sharma, Manish Wadhwa, and others, is making history at the Indian box office. In its first week, the film earned Rs 280 crores nett in India, and on the second Friday, it surprised everyone with an additional Rs 20 crores, which is an all-time record surpassing Bahubali the conclusion. The collections on the second Saturday are even more impressive, and the same is expected on the second Sunday, as demand exceeds supply. Despite sharing screens with another big film, OMG 2, the Sunny Deol action-packed film has earned around Rs 31-32 crores on day 9, bringing the total to Rs 332.5 crores nett.
Gadar 2: The Katha Continues is expected to end its second weekend with a total of around Rs 370 crores. If the movie continues to perform well during the weekdays like it did over the second weekend, it has the potential to break all-time records and set new ones. Unlike other successful movies that had high budgets, Gadar 2 was made with a production cost of only around Rs 80 crores, making it one of the most profitable films in the history of cinema.
Regardless of whether it surpasses all-time lifetime records or not, the movie has been declared an all-time blockbuster.
