Bade Miyan Chote Miyan and Maidaan’s Release shifted by a Day

In a surprising turn of events, just three days before the scheduled release date of the two big Eid releases – Bade Miyan Chote Miyan and Maidaan, the production teams of both films have decided to alter their release strategies.

It has been revealed that both “Bade Miyan Chote Miyan” and “Maidaan” will not have a traditional release on April 10. Instead, the movies will feature paid previews on that day, with screenings starting from 6:00 pm.

According to an industry insider, Since Eid falls on Thursday, April 11, April 10 is a regular working day. Therefore, it is logical to start the screenings from 6:00 PM onwards. This arrangement will effectively make the Eid holiday the first official day for both Bade Miyan Chote Miyan and Maidaan, which will work to their advantage.

“Bade Miyan Chote Miyan” features Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff as the main protagonists, while Prithviraj Sukumaran plays the antagonist. Alaya F and Manushi Chhillar portray the leading female roles, and Sonakshi Sinha makes a special appearance. The film is directed by Ali Abbas Zafar and produced by Vashu Bhagnani’s Pooja Entertainment.

Maidaan however is a period sports movie directed by Amit R Sharma, known for the 2018 hit Badhaai Ho, and produced by Boney Kapoor, Akash Chawla, Arunava Joy Sengupta, and Zee Studios. Featuring Ajay Devgn, Priyamani, and Gajraj Rao, it revolves around the golden age of Indian football from 1952 to 1962, with Ajay portraying Syed Abdul Rahim, a distinguished Indian coach in the film.

When it comes to the release formats, “Maidaan” will be available in both 2D and IMAX 2D, whereas “Bade Miyan Chote Miyan” will hit the screens in standard 2D, 3D, IMAX 2D, and IMAX 3D variations.

The entire film industry, trade professionals, and cinema enthusiasts are eagerly waiting for the two major Eid releases. It looks like this Eid will be full of celebrations and entertainment.
