The film OMG 2, starring Akshay Kumar and Pankaj Tripathi, has reportedly faced intense scrutiny from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) due to its religious content. It has been reported that the CBFC has been instructed to be extremely cautious when it comes to films with religious themes, especially after the controversy surrounding ‘Adipurush’.

A panel of experts has been assembled to ensure that no offensive references or visuals make it into these types of films. Additionally, ZoomTV has confirmed that the rumors about a gay storyline in OMG 2 are completely false. The website has denied the possibility of the filmmakers combining two sensitive subjects, sexual orientation and religion, in one film.

To provide some context, a recent Reddit post shared a rumored plot for OMG 2 in which a gay college student commits suicide after being bullied. In response, the college professor (played by Pankaj Tripathi) tries to make sex education mandatory in order to reduce bullying. However, religious groups oppose this, claiming it goes against God’s will. The protagonist seeks help from Lord Shiva (played by Akshay Kumar) to resolve the situation.

In addition, the sequel to the 2012 film ‘OMG: Oh My God’ has faced criticism for a scene in which Akshay Kumar’s character, portraying Lord Shiva, is shown bathing with railway water during a Rudrabhishek ritual.

Several media reports have suggested that the release of the film may be delayed. Only time will tell what will happen next. For more news and updates, stay tuned to Filmverse.
